(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s garment and textile sector is due to see many development opportunities, when the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement and the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement take effect.
Participants to a conference held by the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) on Wednesday said in order to take advantage of the trade pacts, Vietnamese garment and textile businesses have to compete with strong foreign investors. Vu Duc Giang, VITAS President, recommended said that Vietnamese businesses should have long-term strategies to improve the quality of human resources, upgrade production assemblies and technology, and form cooperation chains.
