(VOVworld) - The 7th Party Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, began on April 16 in Havana. Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Councils of State and Ministers, delivered a report on the accomplishments of the 6^th Congress and commitments to continue improve Cuba’s socio-economic model.

The congress will analyze current and future issues affecting the country including the conceptualization of the Cuban socio-economic model, 2030 national development plan, results of the implementation of Policy Guidelines approved during the 6th Party Congress, and progress made toward meeting the objectives agreed upon by the First Party Conference.

The Party Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam sent a congratulatory message to the Communist Party of Cuba on its 7^th Congress.
