Culture festival commemorates Hung Kings' death anniversary held in the US

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese Youth and Students' Association in the US organized a cultural festival on Saturday to pay gratitude to ancestors on the occasion of the Hung Kings’ death anniversary.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung said: "The Hung Kings’ death anniversary is of great importance to Vietnamese people, especially to overseas Vietnamese who need a stronger bond between one another."

The festival features a range of activities including folk dance and singing performances, a presentation called “Proud to be Vietnamese”, and a session teaching children make Vietnamese dumplings.

Tran Thi Hai Anh, who is working at the World Bank in Washington, participates in the festival. She said: "I’m very honor to participate in this event which is of great importance to students and Vietnamese people in the US. Performances of folk songs and dances as well as traditional food ease my home sicknesses and make me proud of being Vietnamese."
