PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc addresses an event to announce the establishment of Vietnam's cyber operations command in Hanoi, January 8, 2018.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the move demonstrates the Party and State’s trust in the military’s capability in a new combat front.

“Cyber operations forces should be capable of protecting national sovereignty on the internet. They will be equipped with elite personnel and state-of-the-art gear,” Mr Phuc stressed.
