Czech President concludes state visit to Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman concluded a three-day State visit to Vietnam on Thursday. At the meetings with Vietnamese leaders, both sides spoke highly of the positive growth of the two countries’ traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation over a history of 67 years of official relations.

During the visit, the two sides signed a number of cooperative agreements including those on extradition and crime prevention. They also reached a consensus on intensified cooperation in agriculture, science-technology, the environment, energy, education-training, culture, tourism, and justice and law, among others. They agreed to promote the exchange and support of international and regional issues of mutual interest and pledged close coordination at international and regional forums. They also committed to maintaining peace and stability as well as promoting marine security and safety and freedom of navigation and overflight in the East Sea.
