(VOVworld) - A ceremony was held in Da Nang city on Wednesday to mark the 35^th anniversary of the signing of Friendship and Cooperation Treaty and the 50^th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Laos. To date, Da Nang has signed 24 memoranda of understanding in agriculture, education, and transports with Lao provinces such as Savanakhet, Chapasak, Salavan and Sekong. Da Nang has also helped hundreds of Lao students to study there. Nguyen Ba Thanh is the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee: “In the current situation, our comprehensive cooperative ties should be given the top priority. The city’s party, administration and people always value and prioritize nurturing our traditional ties with Laos.”
