Da Nang field hospital to begin operating on August 14
(VOVWORLD) - A 500-bed field hospital inside a sports center in Da Nang, Vietnam’s COVID-19 hotspot, is expected to begin operating on Wednesday. The hospital will reserve 480 beds for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms and 20 for critically ill cases.

During an inspection on Tuesday, Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang asked for quality checks to ensure the hospital will open on schedule, with due attention to waste water treatment.
The hospital is equipped with modern facilities including a smart data processing system.
200 medical workers have been dispatched to the hospital and 200 volunteer students have been trained to provide reception, patient care, and on-the-spot testing.
