The ceremony was co-organized by “Tuoi tre” (Youth) Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh and the Da Nang municipal Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Health workers are among those fighting the coronavirus at the frontline by preventing pathogens, testing, detecting, quarantining, treating, and zoning. When the COVID-19 resurged in Da Nang, doctors from Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other localities volunteered to give Da Nang a hand. They were joined by the police, military personnel, and border guards, who are also on duty round the clock.

Le The Chu, Editor-in-Chief of the Youth Newspaper, attributed Vietnam’s success in controlling of the COVID-19 to all people’s efforts.

“Epidemic prevention and control has been given our top priority in recent months. All Vietnamese people are determined to fight the coronavirus like fighting their enemy. We are proud of the sacrifices and devotions for the community by those fighting the virus at the frontline. The gala today shows our respect and admiration to those brave people,” said Chu.
