Da Nang, Quang Ninh welcome thousands of foreign first footers in Year of Dragon
(VOVWORLD) - Major tourist destinations across Vietnam including Da Nang ang Quang Ninh welcomed the first footers from abroad on the first day of the Year of the Dragon.
Da Nang city received 7,500 foreigners on 53 international flights on Saturday. The central city is expected to welcomed nearly 900 domestic and international flights during the Tet holiday which will run through next Wednesday.
The first group of tourists to UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay in the new lunar year were welcomed by a lion dance performance. They were also given flowers and lucky money by the Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee.
Ha Long is expected to receive 60 international cruise ship trips with 70,000 passengers in 2024.
