(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has called for joint efforts to help Dak Lak province reduce poverty among ethnic minority groups in a rapid and sustainable manner.

During a working session with provincial leaders on Monday, the Prime Minister suggested that Dak Lak utilize its potential and advantages, especially in agro-forestry, industrial plants, breeding, and processing to boost socio-economic development. He urged the province to increase investment and the application of advanced technology in production and accelerate the implementation of the new rural development program to improve local people’s lives. The Prime Minister asked the province to pay more attention to Party building and developing a strong political system, improving ethnic and religious policies, and ensuring security and defense. He said the Party Central Committee will work with Dak Lak province to deal with the free migration of people to help them stabilize their lives. Marking the lunar New Year, the Prime Minister visited a number of local war and revolutionary veterans.
