Mr. Dam, who is also Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, worked with Hau Giang province on disease prevention and control on Sunday. He requested that the province must prepare a plan for people and businesses to return to a new normal and classify COVID-19 patients for appropriate treatment and isolation.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said, “Together we should strive in more than one more week of social distancing to well control the pandemic. Agreeing with the provincial Steering Committee’s anti-pandemic plan, I welcome Hau Giang's initiative of mobilizing people to preventing safe areas from contracting the virus. I believe that along with many other solutions, the pandemic will be controlled.”
