Mr. Dam addressed a meeting of the inter-sectoral steering committee on food safety in Hanoi on Friday: “I urge the Director of the Department of Food Safety to list supplementary foods, which violate advertisement regulations and send this list the Ministry of Information and Communications for joint settlement. The Ministry of Health should give a warning against products which are advertised wrongly and discourage consumers to buy them. The Voice of Vietnam Radio and Vietnam Television are responsible for broadcasting this warning message.”

The Deputy PM also called for the issuance of the Law on Animal Husbandry and the Law on Cultivation and the amended decree on administrative penalty related to food safety.
