Deputy Prime Minister receives former UK Prime Minister

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai suggested former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair continue supporting Vietnam to receive preferential resources from the British government and international development agencies in its climate change response, green growth, and education projects.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Monday, Hai said he appreciated the outcomes of Blair’s recent visits to Vietnam, which have contributed to the Vietnam-UK strategic partnership. The former UK Prime Minister said his visit aims to enhance cooperation between Tony Blair Associates and its Vietnamese partners.
The same day, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh received former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair who is visiting Vietnam as President of the Tony Blair Associates. Tony Blair Associates agreed to deliver a speech at a conference on October 24 discussing Vietnam’s possibility to become the world’s new manufacturing and processing center.
