Deputy Prime Minister requests tighter control of long-distance vehicles
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on Friday urged localities to tighten control of long-distance vehicles as he chaired a an online meeting between the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and some localities.

“The Steering Committees of provinces and cities must review all eateries along the way and stopover stations. All must strictly comply with anti-pandemic regulations and update the COVID-19 map. Vehicles must scan QR codes. Violations should be severely punished. If there is an infection, contract tracing will be carried out very quickly,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
He requested safe vaccination against COVID-19 for people and avoiding large gatherings at the vaccination venues.
On Friday, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control had an online meeting with leaders of Tien Giang province, which now has 9 clusters of infections after the first case of COVID-19 was detected on June 5.
Deputy Prime Minister Dam asked Tien Giang to direct enterprises to strictly implement safety measures, self-assess and update to the Map of Safe Coexistence with COVID-19.
