(VOVworld)- Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh is leading a Vietnamese government delegation to visit to Singapore from November 5-8 at the invitation of the Singaporean Cooperation Program’s (SCP) S.R Nathan Fellowship. During the visit, the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister received Ms. Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister of the Prime Minister Office, Second Minister for Environment and Water Resource cum Second Minister for Foreign Affairs. The two sides expressed their delight at the positive development of bilateral ties in the areas of politics, economics, trade, investment, education, training and people-to-people exchanges. They praised the establishment of their Strategic Partnership and activities to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties saying that the Strategic Partnership would create practical mutual benefits. Both sides greatly appreciated the success of the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park including the inauguration of VSIP 5 in Quang Ngai province and agreed to expand VSIP in some other provinces. Deputy Prime Minister Ninh proposed Singapore consider investment in Phu Quoc to develop the island district into a model economic zone in Vietnam. The two sides discussed their experiences in international integration, negotiations of free trade agreements and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

On the same day, Mr. Ninh worked with Singaporean Investment Fund Temasek Holdings and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). They shared experiences in monetary management and policy making as well as state funding management in companies.
