Deputy Prime Minister welcomes Aichi governor

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on Thursday met with the Governor of the Aichi Prefecture of Japan, Omura Hideaki.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised Aichi’s proposals on boosting trade and investment cooperation with Vietnamese ministries and sectors. He said the Vietnamese government is accelerating the  Long Thanh airport project and the construction of a highway connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Long Thanh airport in an effort to address traffic congestion and increase economic exchange. He expressed his hope that businesses of the Aichi Prefecture  will invest in these projects.

Mr. Omura Hideaki said he hoped more flights connecting Aichi with Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang and other cities in Vietnam will soon be in service. He added that businesses in Aichi are interested in the investment potential of projects including Long Thanh airport and the Ho Chi Minh highway, citing that he hoped the projects will become a new symbol of Japan-Vietnam ties.
