He extended his best wishes to the press agencies and journalists, who he said should be "sharp-minded and kind-hearted," constantly innovate, be creative, and record more glorious achievements to match the pride and tradition of nearly a century-old Vietnam’s revolutionary press.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the press agencies need to embrace the spirit of "looking straight, assessing correctly, telling the truth", reporting and reflecting the reality in a quick and timely manner, assessing, analyzing, and finding the causes and solutions and proposing policies and laws to competent state agencies. He asked journalists to make greater efforts to help handle difficulties, promote growth, boost production and export and disburse investment capital. The press agencies should continue to disseminate information to contribute to the success of the Party Congress at various levels toward the 13th National Party Congress.
