Officials said the victim’s body was found near a river bank, but her daughter has not been found. Witnesses say two others fell into the flooded river. On Thursday a snowstorm in the north-eastern US knocked out electricity in a wide area causing hundreds of thousands of people to spend their Thanksgiving in darkness. According to Accuweather.com, some 300,000 people were affected by the outage, most of them in New Hampshire.
