(VOVworld) - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu has led a delegation to present gifts to several social protection and childcare centers in Quang Binh province. The National Assembly delegation visited 42 social beneficiary and needy households and presented gifts worth nearly 70 million VND. Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu:“Caring for people with disabilities and orphans is a meaningful activity in line with the humanitarian traditions. We want to help disadvantaged families and children a joyful Tet.”

The Red Cross Society in Ho Chi Minh City presented 45,000 Tet gifts worth 18.2 billion dong to needy people and those in remote areas or affected by natural disasters. Quang Ninh province allocated 42 billion dong to grant allowances to veterans, ethnic people and those with disabilities.
