The festival will highlight the cultural and economic values of lotus as well as promote lotus as unique tourism products of the southern delta province of Dong Thap.

A workshop on how to raise values of Dong Thap lotus and an exhibition of lotus products in the One Commune One Product program will be part of the festival. The program will also honor outstanding lotus farmers and producers and an Ao Dai fashion show featuring lotus.
