(VOVworld) – The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea fired two surface-to-air missiles off its west coast on Tuesday, according to the South Korean Defense Ministry on Thursday. The ministry spokesman Kim Min Seok told reporters that the news had not been published immediately after the launch because the two missiles had short ranges.

Seoul is closely watching Pyongyang’s missile launch preparations as Pyongyang celebrates former President Kim Il-Sung’s birthday on April 15.

Pyongyang also launched four short-range missiles off the west coast last week.
