(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies on Thursday discussed amendments and supplements to a draft Law on the Vietnam People’s Army Officers and another draft Law on People’s Public Security at the ongoing 8th session of the 13th National Assembly.

The participants discussed amendments to the draft Law on Vietnam’s People’s Army Officers, including provisions on the major position of officers, regulations on ranking levels for army officers, salary, allowances, housing and working conditions for officers.
The deputies agreed on a housing incentive policy for officers which takes into consideration priorities for those working in difficult and dangerous areas.
In the afternoon, the National Assembly deputies discussed the draft Law on People’s Public Security. The draft Law includes 7 chapters, 42 articles on organization, functions, authority and policies regarding people’s public security and ranking for public security officers at localities.
