Dutch top division club SC Heerenveen unveils Vietnamese star Van Hau
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese defender Doan Van Hau on Monday signed a one-year loan contract with top Dutch side SC Heerenveen.

Hau reportedly will earn 22,000 USD per month and will wear jersey number 15. He is the first Vietnamese footballer to play in the Dutch Eredivisie, one of the world’s top football leagues.
“I will do my best to practice and learn from my teammates and follow the coaches’ instructions so I can help my club,” said 20-year-old Van Hau.
“I want people from all over the world to know more about Vietnam’s culture and football. We welcome you all to our country.”
Hau will leave the Netherlands for Thailand on Tuesday to join his teammates to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifier on Thursday. He is expected to rejoin SC Heerenveen 4 days later.
Heerenveen finished 11th in the Dutch domestic league last season and are currently 10th after five rounds of matches winning one and drawing three during the new season.
