(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched the 2012 earth hour campaign, appealing agencies, businesses, organizations and the people to join in the fight against climate change. From 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm on March 31, lights and electrical equipment will be switched off. Some 4,600 enterprises and 30 provinces across the country will respond to the 2012 Earth Hour under the motto “You and I act together”. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will also launch programs to raise public awareness and calls for commitments. Phuong Hoang Kim, Head of the Ministry’s Department of Science and Technology, explains:   “On this year’s Earth Hour, we call on every individual and organization to save energy for a better environment. In addition to switching off the light, we say no to plastic bags and energy-run vehicles”.
