(VOVworld) – The European Central Bank announced Monday that it will keep its Emergency Liquidity Assistance to Greece unchanged at levels announced last week of 89 billion EUR.

The same day, France and Germany left an open door for further talks with Greece following a meeting between French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The announcement reflects efforts by leaders of France and Germany, the two leading nations in Europe in looking for a solution to settle the post-referendum crisis.
Hollande said it’s time for the Greek government to submit serious and reliable proposals and its willingness to stay within the Eurozone must be presented by a long-term plan.
IMF chief Christine Largarde said the IMF will assist Greece if requested. The statement was made a day after the result of the referendum revealed that most Greek voters rejected creditor demands for further austerity.
