On Saturday, interim President Adly Mansour appointed judge Hamed Abdullah as head of the Supreme Judicial Council and prominent journalist Ahmed El-Moslimany as media consultant to the interim president.

In another development, President Mansour says pro-reform leader Mohamed Elbaradei has not yet been appointed as interim prime minister despite earlier reports. A spokesman for the interim President said consultations were continuing.
