(VOVworld)- Egyptian police on Monday fired tear gas to disperse a student parade as the wave of protests supporting ousted President Mohamed Morsi has spread throughout universities in Cairo.

Thousands of students from the Al-Azhar University of the most powerful church of Sunni in Egypt conducted parades and blocked a highway to the Cairo International Airport asking for Morsi’s reinstatement. Ahmed El-Anassary, head of Egypt's ambulance authority said three people sustained injuries in Monday's protests in Cairo and Daqahalia. In an announcement, Students Union at Al-Azhar University said that they will conduct more protests. In another development, the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL), led by Muslim Brotherhood supporting Mr.Morsi initiated the protest on Tuesday to support judicial independence.
