Mr. El-Sisi recalled Egypt’s experience before and after the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty and said 40 years ago no one thought such a positive “jump in relations” was possible. He said that a two-state solution would give hope to the Palestinians and security to the Israelis. He added that ongoing efforts by Arab countries through different initiatives to create a new framework of cooperation are contingent on a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict being found.
