Egypt's Shura Council approves laws concerning parliamentary elections

Egypt's Shura Council (upper house of the parliament) approved Saturday two revised laws, concerning the upcoming parliamentary elections and the exercise of political rights respectively, official news agency MENA reported.
The two laws will be referred to the Supreme Constitutional Court to decide whether or not they are compatible with the newly- approved constitution.

Egypt's Shura Council has temporarily assumed full legislative authority from President Mohamed Morsi since last December, until the House of Representatives (lower house) is elected.
