The move is sure to increase the current tensions between Russia and the EU.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini attributed the decision to the worsening situation in eastern Ukraine.

Russian envoy to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Andrei Kelin said Russia has seen no sign that Kiev is ready to end military operations and reopen a dialogue with the separatists in eastern Ukraine and that Kiev fabricated reports of Russian troops in Ukraine to elicit money and weapons from Western countries.

Kelin appealed to the US and other nations that have influence with Kiev’s leadership to stop covering up their inhumane actions, pushing them to continue the war in eastern Ukraine”.
