Li said there is no conflict of fundamental interests between China and the EU, adding that both sides have benefited from each other's development, worked together to address global challenges and build a multipolar world.

Li stressed that the two sides need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in green, economic, trade, and digital technology.

Michael said the EU has no intention to contain China's development, and opposes a "new Cold War.”

He also said that the EU is willing to strengthen communication and exchanges with China to strengthen their relations, jointly solve global issues in climate, health and other fields, and build an open and multipolar world.
