(VOVworld) – British police has arrested 6 people in Dover on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences. West Midlands Police said that five men and one woman in their 20s were detained on Friday in the departure zone of the Kent port, Dover. The suspects are being questioned at a police station in the West Midlands area.

Turkish security has arrested 9 Britons, including 4 adolescents, who were fleeing to Syria. British security agency said about 600 British nationals had fled to Syria or Iraq to join Jihadist groups.

Italy has expelled a Moroccan man who was living in the country legally but had what officials called a "vocation to terrorism." Interior Minister Angelino Alfano announced the expulsion of 41-year-old Khalid Smina on Saturday. Alfano said Smina was part of a group headed by a Tunisian who served prison time in Italy for terrorism-related crimes and was recently sent back home.
