(VOVWORLD) -The European Commission on Monday proposed its 11th package of sanctions against Russia since the Ukraine-Russia conflict began in February last year.

EC spokesman Eric Mamer said EC President, Ursula von der Leyen will meet with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Tuesday to discuss EU-Ukraine relations, and reaffirm the EU’s unwavering support for Kyiv.
This is the fifth time the EC President has visited Ukraine since February last year.
