Foreign ministers from the European Union’s 27 member countries converged on Monday on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv for an unannounced informal meeting that officials said would review the bloc’s support for Ukraine and discuss Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposed peace formula.

The meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Kiev took place in the context that Ukraine is still trying to join this union while the Russia-Ukraine conflict has entered its 20th month.

The EU’s 27 member countries still show support for Ukraine and spend billions of euros buying weapons for Kiev. However, there are increasing concerns about growing disagreements among EU countries regarding support for Ukraine.
