Europe rejects US peace proposal to end Ukraine conflict

(VOVWORLD) - European sources on Friday said Ukraine, France, Germany and the United Kingdom are drafting a joint response opposing the 28-point US peace plan aimed at ending the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

During a joint call with the Ukrainian President, the leaders of France, Germany and the UK emphasized that any solution must include Ukraine’s “full participation” and that decisions must reflect the “consensus” of Europe and NATO.

On social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Kyiv is reviewing the US proposal, stressing that any plan must “ensure a just and lasting peace.”

Meanwhile, in a radio interview on Friday, US President Trump said he wanted the Ukrainian President to respond to the plan by November 27, though he may allow more time to finalize the terms.
