(VOVWORLD) - The 9th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from June 8-17, providing a platform for cultural exchanges.
The event is organised by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), embassies of EU member states, and the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio (NDSFS).
11 foreign films and 15 Vietnamese films will be screened at the Festival. International pieces include productions from France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, the Czech Republic, the UK, and Israel.
The films focus on major cultural and social issues in contemporary life such as family, disasters, migration and lives of immigrants, urban planning, traffic, and preservation of traditional products.
