Figures released by Eurostat show growth in eurozone declined in the second quarter.

The European statistical office (Eurostat) announced on Friday that the Eurozone growth in the second quarter is 0.3 percent, down from the 0.6 percent rate in the first quarter. Germany, EU’s powerhouse, saw 0.4 percent growth, also down from 0.7 percent in the first quarter. France also stagnated, following a 0.7 percent surge in the first quarter while Italy only reached 0.3 percent in the second quarter. Spain saw solid growth of 0.7 percent in the quarter.
Britain’s growth reached 0.6 percent in the second quarter, increasing 0.2 percent against the first quarter of the year.
