Vietnam’s relevant agencies have completed the draft law on information access to submit to the 13th National Assembly. Speaking at the Q&A session on Thursday, Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong said the draft law covers 3 major contents: information range for access, responsibility of state agencies to provide information to the people, and procedures and forms to ensure people’s right to access information."As the draft law is related to citizen rights, the Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Justice to adjust and submit it to the National Assembly. In November 2011, the draft law on information access was included in the agenda of the 13th National Assembly. After the approval of the revised Constitution, the draft law will be submitted to the National Assembly" Cuong said. 

Regarding the provision of information to the public especially official, mainstream information, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son said the Ministry has completed and submitted its press planning to the Prime Minister: "Press planning has been carried out assuring adequate quantity and improved quality. We look forward to reducing the imbalance in newspaper reading between urban and rural areas. News agencies will have to self-finance by 2020. Television and radio stations will be reorganized and modernized to reduce foreign content by half. Online newspapers will be developed as the driving force of multimedia". 

Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh answered questions about unjust cases and corruption and the construction of regional courts. Binh talked about measures to improve the quality of judges to deal with cases with the involvement of foreigners: "Guiding documents have been issued to help implement judicial support agreements and sign international judicial cooperative agreements with other countries. The judicial sector has worked out its external affairs program  and training programs with other countries. We have signed cooperative agreements with Russian, Australian, French, Cuban and Belarus courts and organized border court conferences between Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos". 

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will be questioned later at the Q&A session.
