(VOVWORLD) -Artifacts confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes are on display at an exhibition which opened in Hue city on Friday.
Ancient documents, woodblocks of the Nguyen dynasty, objects, and more than 100 maps published by Vietnam, China, and some western countries, provide historical and legal evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the islands.
“The exhibits are part of historical and legal evidence collected from Vietnam and other countries including China. Truong Sa and Hoang Sa are an inseparable part of Vietnam. Vietnam has administered, protected, and exercised national sovereignty over the archipelagoes throughout history,” said Hoang Vinh Bao, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.
The exhibition will close on Monday.
