(VOVworld) – An exhibition of maps and documents asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagoes opened in Bac Lieu province on Tuesday.

Exhibits include 100 maps collected by Vietnamese and foreign researchers and scholars and 4 Atlases issued by Chinese authorities in the early 20^th century. The documents on display are a demonstration of Vietnam’s continual exercise of its sovereign rights and protection of the two archipelagoes since feudal times, which has been recorded in numerous documents since the 16^th century. The exhibition will close on April 9.
