Mr. Dung said the Ministry of Transport has hired foreign consultants to make a comprehensive assessment of demand at Tan Son Nhat airport.

Answering questions about appointments of professors and associate professors in 2017, Mr. Dung said the Prime Minister is concerned about the quality of Vietnam’s scientists and called for reforms to improve science education: “The Prime Minister asked for serious, transparent assessment and specific criteria for appointing professors and associate professors, including hours taught, quality of teaching, and foreign language skills”.

Representatives from Ministries and sectors responded to questions related to BOT toll station management, Hanoi’s proposed plan to ban Uber and Grab from some key routes, and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s proposal to end the practice of burning votive paper offerings at Buddhist worshipping sites.
