Addressing the event on Saturday, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong noted the fight against corruption required a strong political determination under the direct, centralized, and unified Party leadership.
The fight against corruption has achieved a number of important results since the Steering Committee on Corruption Prevention and Control under the Party Central Committee was established back in 2013. They clearly demonstrated the Party’s strong determination to combat corruption.
As anti-corruption is a difficult, complicated and long-term battle, the Party leader and State President asked Party organizations to speed up the fight, considering it a special task of the Party building and rectification campaign.
He said that the fight should be enhanced drastically, regularly and constantly, with stronger determination and greater efficiency, especially through inspection, audit, investigation, prosecution, court trial, and early detection of corruption cases. This will help build a strong and clean Party and State, meeting the requirement and trust of the people.
