Almost 2.3 billion USD in state capital was saved in 2022 as reported by ministries, sectors, and localities, he said. According to his report, stimulation and promotional programs were held simultaneously across the country. Activities to connect supply and demand were effective, consumer demand increased, prices were relatively stable, and domestic manufacturers and large distribution systems provide a stable source of goods.
The Prime Minister has adopted a master program on thrift and waste prevention with 8 key tasks and 4 groups of solutions under which ministries, agencies, and localities develop plans for achieving savings targets and monitoring compliance with the law on thrift and waste prevention in land management, public investment, and management of the science and technology budget.

Chairman of the NA's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh said that the Government and the Prime Minister have paid more attention to building and perfecting institutions as an important basis for thrift and waste prevention; reducing state budget expenditures, and cutting unnecessary expenditures. These resources will be allocated to COVID-19 prevention and control and socio-economic recovery and development.
Many ministries, branches, and localities have high savings rates, he added.
The NA’s Finance and Budget Committee asked delegates to give opinions on thrift and waste prevention in administrative reform and management of the state budget, land, minerals, and natural resources.
A discussion session on this topic will take place on Thursday.
