(VOVWORLD) - A consignment of more than 400,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine donated by Australia via the COVAX facility arrived in Vietnam on Thursday.

This is the first tranche of the Australian Government’s commitment to share 1.5 million doses with Vietnam this year, according to Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne. As a close partner and friend, Australia is committed to supporting Vietnam’s pandemic response and recovery, Payne said.
