First week of the National Assembly’s year-end session

(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies on Friday discussed the implementation of the state budget for this year and budget allocations for next year. They reviewed the 3-year implementation of National Target Programs between 2011 and 2015 and discussed the issuance of additional government bonds for the 2014-2016 period. The deputies agreed with the issuance of the bonds worth 8 billion USS, which will be invested in economic development, infrastructure development and on-going projects.

The deputies commented on the draft law on fire prevention and control, stressing the need to encourage social involvement and clarify the responsibility of heads of agencies, organizations and families in case of fire. They agreed that fire prevention and control should be incorporated in education and training programs.

Next week, the deputies will hear reports on the implementation of the National Assembly’s resolution on crime prevention and control, discuss the draft law on customs and the draft law on the entry, exit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam as well as the draft law on citizen reception.
