(VOVworld) – Hundreds of fishing vessels in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province on Saturday headed to Hoang Sa (Paracel) for their first offshore fishing trip in the Lunar New Year 2017.

As a customary practice, all the fishermen gathered under the national flag and sang the national anthem hoping for a bumper season.
“The national anthem encourages us a lot on our trips. Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) are our traditional fishing grounds, and we will continue to fish there to earn a living and to defend national sea and islands sovereignty”, fisherman Nguyen Sinh Banh stressed.
