The passengers included children under 18, elderly persons, ill persons, students who lack accommodations due to dormitory closures, and other persons with special disadvantages.
Vietnam’s representative agencies in the US and Japan helped many of them reach the airport in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Tokyo in time for departure.
Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport passengers and crew received health exams and were quarantined.
More repatriation flights will be arranged as demand, pandemic developments, and Vietnam’s quarantine capacity may determine.
