Foreign leaders congratulate Vietnam on National Day

(VOVWORLD) - Leaders of the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries have sent their congratulations to the Vietnamese Party and State leaders on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).

In his message, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said he hopes for increased cooperation between Vietnam and Iran. He wished Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong good health and the Vietnamese people happiness and prosperity.

King and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa cabled congratulatory messages to the Vietnamese leaders and people.

To mark the occasion, an event was held in Algeria on Monday in which Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Pham Quoc Tru highlighted the significance of the August Revolution and briefed guests on the remarkable achievements of Vietnam over the past 74 years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

At the ceremony, 14 Algerians were presented with certificates by Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recognition of their contributions to boosting Vietnamese martial arts in Algeria and other African countries.
