They expressed their pleasure to the facility, favorable for reporters to cover the events.  Erwida Maulia of Japan’s Nikkei newspaper, said: “Since the first day I arrived, I think they dedicated effort to help the journalists to cover the events in this big center and good facility. The food is very good. I’ve realized that I like Vietnamese food. Although we are far from the venue of the summit, we can clearly see that it’s about because we have TV are placed around.”

Patrick O’meara, a reporter of Radio New Zealand, said:  “It’s the second time I’ve been here. I came here a couple of years ago with the Prime Minister. He led a business delegation here. Very well organized, very well done! Wifi is good. Food is excellent as I would expect from Vietnamese food. People are very friendly and very helpful.”

Foreign reporters said agreements reached at APEC meetings will help enhance trade ties among APEC member economies. Patrick O’meara again: “It has become a very useful platform for countries to develop together, to discuss problems without the necessity of being forced in to doing things. Strong countries can move on their own pace and the chances being made for economic development. I think today with the rise of security issues and protectionism, this is a very important platform and APEC has become very important.”

This has been the 2nd time Vietnam hosts the APEC meetings.
