Foreign scholars highlight Party leaders’ contributions to Vietnamese people’s happiness

(VOVWORLD) - Many foreign experts and scholars have praised Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's role and contributions to Vietnam’s development and Party building and rectification.

Professor Jayachandra Reddy, former Director of the Centre for Southeast Asian and Pacific Studies at India’s Sri Venkateswara University, said that under the leadership of General Secretary Trong, Vietnam has developed from a war-torn agricultural country into one of Asia's most dynamic economies.

Vietnam has consistently prioritized maintaining social welfare, intensifying the fight against corruption, promoting administrative reform, and enhancing poverty reduction efforts, he said.

Japanese architect and history researcher Ueno Tomio said Mr. Trong was a leader with pure morality, integrity, simple lifestyle, honesty, and exceptional leadership capabilities. In foreign affairs, under his leadership, the "bamboo diplomacy" approach and the foreign policy of independence have significantly enhanced Vietnam's position in the international arena. Tomio also acknowledged the leader's substantial contributions to deepening Japan-Vietnam relations.

Stefano Bonilauri, Director of the Anteo Edizioni Publishing House which translated Party General Secretary Trong’s book “Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam” into the Italian language, said that the leader plays a central role in modern Vietnamese history, and a crucial role in leading the country towards strong socio-economic development.

His dedication to the happiness of the Vietnamese people is clearly reflected by policies aimed at improving the quality of life and reducing poverty, Bonilauri said.
